Then, drop off (or ship) your defective device using one of the available options (either directly to our main laboratory or to one of our 85 authorized drop-off locations across the province). You will receive a detailed quotation by email. With over 20 years of experience in the data recovery industry, Chronodisk is committed to achieving the best possible recovery results for your data.

Important: Recovery fees start at only $190. However, in cases involving severe mechanical failures—particularly dropped hard drives—costs can reach $1,200 and may require several weeks of complex procedures in our ISO 5 Class 100 cleanroom laboratory. For very high-capacity drives, costs may occasionally exceed $2,000. We prefer to inform you of these possibilities in full transparency.

Please note that the free diagnosis becomes chargeable in the following four situations: [1] Express 30-minute diagnosis ($60). [2] Data erasure services, with or without overwriting; [3] Water-damaged storage devices. [4] Drives that have been opened outside a certified cleanroom environment.

In these cases, a $250 deposit is required to initiate the diagnosis, cleanroom decontamination procedures, and recovery research work. This deposit will be deducted from your final invoice should you approve our proposed data recovery solution.

The diagnosis can last from 1 to 4 days and becomes chargeable when partition or folders have been modified / deleted (250$+tx) because as all of our file reconstruction work is carried before your acceptance of estimate. This amount will be deducted from your final invoice if you have paid it when depositing the media.

For maximum security and immediate support, come and hand-deliver your hard drive and meet our engineers. Our laboratory is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., near the Longueuil subway station. Large free and private parking (15 spaces).

Make it easy for yourself ! We will send you an e-mail to confirm that your hard drive will be picked up by our carrier Purolator at your home or office. This service is charged at $30+tx per segment, payable at the end of the procedure.
Once you've filled in the form, reply to the summary e-mail, specifying the size (length x width x height) and weight of your parcel.

Don't underestimate the fragility of a drive : To protect it from shocks, wrap it carefully with several layers of bubble wrap or foam, then place it in a cardboard box. If you shake it, the hard drive should not move inside. See our advice in video for more details.

Chronodisk is affiliated with 85 deposit centers throughout Quebec! No need to make an appointment, just check the opening hours of the nearest deposit center, who will take care of transporting your hard drive to our laboratory in Longueuil. This service is charged at $30+tx per segment.
